Southern Gulf Islands

Sailings between Vancouver (Tsawwassen) – Southern Gulf Islands are fully bookable so reservations are highly recommended. There are no reservation fees on this route and the fare is paid in full at the time of booking. Cancellation and no show fees apply based on the terms and conditions of your booking.

North Coast routes

Sailings between on our North Coast routes are fully bookable so reservations are highly recommended. There are no reservation fees on this route and the fare is paid in full at the time of booking. Cancellation and no show fees apply based on the terms and conditions of your booking.

Change fees apply to all bookings and vehicle types except for livestock, commercial and foot passenger-only bookings.

South Coast

Central and North Coast

If you change or cancel your vehicle booking within 30 days of your scheduled departure date, a $60 service fee will be applied ($30 for Haida Gwaii service). Change fees apply to the following North Coast and Central Coast routes:

• Port Hardy (Bear Cove) – Prince Rupert
• Port Hardy (Bear Cove) – Klemtu
• Port Hardy (Bear Cove) – Central Coast: Bella Bella (McLoughlin Bay), Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Shearwater
• Prince Rupert – Graham Island (Skidegate)
• Prince Rupert - Klemtu
• Prince Rupert - Central Coast: Bella Bella (McLoughlin Bay), Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Shearwater
• Klemtu - Central Coast: Bella Bella (McLoughlin Bay), Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Shearwater

Travel on Southern Gulf Islands routes

A non-refundable $5 change fee is applied each time you make a change to your booking's date, time or sailing. Bookings can be changed up to one hour prior to travel* from the original port of departure.

To edit a booking online

• Set up a BC Ferries account online to easily create and change bookings. Any bookings made online (as a guest or logged in account customer) can be adjusted using the edit your booking(s)link found in your booking confirmation email.
• If you made a booking as a guest, through the Customer Service Centre, you will need to contact the Customer Service Centre to change your sailing. If you have an account, you can log in to make any changes. If you booked without an account and want to edit or cancel your booking use the link in your original booking confirmation email.

* Travel refers to your selected sailing's scheduled departure date and time.

South Coast routes

Travel on Southern Gulf Islands routes

• If you cancel more than sevendays before travel, there is no cancellation fee.
• If you cancel a booking from Southern Gulf Islands to Tsawwassenwithinsevendays of travel, a $15 cancellation fee will be applied to the form of payment used at the time of booking.
• If you cancel a booking from Tsawwassen to Southern Gulf Islandswithinsevendays of travel, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied to the form of payment used at the time of booking.

Central and North Coast routes

• If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before your scheduled departure date, you will receive a full refund.
• If you change or cancel your vehicle booking within 30 days of your scheduled departure date, a $60 cancellation fee will apply ($30 for Haida Gwaii routes)
• Cancellation fees apply to all North Coast and Central Coast routes, including:
  • Port Hardy (Bear Cove) –Prince Rupert
  • Port Hardy (Bear Cove) –Klemtu
  • Port Hardy (Bear Cove) –Central Coast: Bella Bella (McLoughlin Bay), Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Shearwater

Private vehicle bookings are non-refundable if not redeemed or cancelled within the cancellation window stated in the Terms and Conditions in your cancellation email.

Commercial vehicle bookings cancelled less than five days before your scheduled departure date will have a $200 cancellation fee applied.

• Victoria (Swartz Bay) – Southern Gulf Islands
• Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) – Nanaimo (Departure Bay)
• Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) – Sunshine Coast (Langdale)
• Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) – Bowen Island (Snug Cove)

*$25 no-show fee applies for unredeemed bookings from Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Southern Gulf Islands. $15 no-show fee applies for unredeemed bookings departing from Southern Gulf Islands.

Note: A $20 no-show fee applies to Saver fare bookings for travel between Sunshine Coast (Langdale) and Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay).

If a bus or foot passenger group changes the reserved sailing timewithinfive days of the scheduled departure, a $25 service fee will be applied.

You can purchase a short-cut ticket for travel between Brentwood Bay – Mill Bay:

• at Thrifty Foods in Broadmead, Sidney, Central Saanich and Mill Bay
• or purchase ticket books from staff on board the ferry servicing this route

Ticket books for travel between Sunshine Coast (Langdale) – Gambier Island (New Brighton) – Keats Island (Keats Landing) can be purchased at:

• Horseshoe Bay terminal foot passenger ticket booth and customer service office
• Langdale terminal administration office, weekdays 6 am – 8 pm and weekends 7 am – 8 pm
• AtPassageson board select ferries servicing this route
