Crews finished packing the utility cave-in on 18th Avenue Wednesday, getting it one step closer to being paved. Warm WeatherMERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - As the cooler weather has passed, Thursday will kick off fairly hot temperatures. Each day temperatures will increase, starting off with lower 90s. Upper 90s are expected towards the end of the week with temperatures scorching by Saturday. Sunny and hot with feel-like temps in the triple-digits. Humidity will pick making it feel hotter than what it actually is. Father’s Day will bring in similar heat in the upper 90s with chances of scattered showers. This trend will continue into the following week, with isolated showers and cloudy conditions. Giving us a slight break from blazing hot temps. Earlier: Crews at the WTOK-TV tower facility isolated the lighting issues with the tower. General Manager, Jacque Harms, says crews must work on a beacon at the top of the 240 foot structure.
